  1. Any mineral ore from which nickel is
  2. obtained. The main minerals are arsenides
  3. such as chloanthite (NiAs2), and the
  4. sulphides millerite (NiS) and pentlandite
  5. (Ni,Fe)9S8, the commonest ore. The chief
  6. nickel-producing countries are Canada, the
  7. USSR, Cuba, and Australia.
